A Special Nanay Deserves Something Special: My Great Nanay Winner’s Prize Adventure! 

Last July 4, 2024, Great Image was delighted to send our “My Great Nanay” Contest Winner, Ms. Renelia Penolbo (37 years old), and her family on an unforgettable prize adventure! Ms. Renelia, along with her family members – Ms. Natividad Penolbo (83 years old), her grandmother; Ana Raquel Penolbo (51 years old); Joselito Penolbo (59 years old); and Ms. Paula Dominguez (36 years old) – indulged in a day filled with pampering, fun, and memories to last a lifetime.

The first stop on their exciting journey was at Fanny Serrano Salon, located at Scout Rallos, Quezon City – where Ms. Natividad Penolbo, the family’s beloved grandmother, received a makeover fit for a queen! We can only imagine the joy and special bonding moment this experience created between Ms. Natividad and the talented stylists that worked their magic, giving her a fresh new look and younger than ever!

Whether they enjoyed  an amazing spa treatment,  and spent quality time together, this final stop allowed them to unwind and soak in all the joy of their day.

“My nanay is my grandmother and she is the greatest because of her resilience, compassion, and unconditional love, which have profoundly influenced every aspect of my life. When my biological mother passed away when I was just a baby, my grandma selflessly stepped in to raise me, my siblings, and my cousins, treating us all as her own children. Despite facing numerous financial hardships and health crises, she worked tirelessly to provide for us, often borrowing money from neighbors to ensure we could attend school and have our basic needs met. Her selflessness extends far beyond our family as she consistently helps our other relatives from the province whenever possible. Her acts of kindness and generosity have touched our lives. One of my most cherished memories is from a time when we were treated badly by our alcoholic biological father; she stayed by our side and tried to protect us. Her unwavering love and encouragement gave us the strength to push through. My grandma’s quiet acts of kindness and steadfast support make her an everyday hero.
